Beware, Your Norwegian Neighbour Bites
5 remarkable stories about what Norwegian neighbors can do to each other. On the surface Norway is a peaceful country. Norwegians are shy, introverted and restrained. A harmonious country to move to. But beware. When it comes to the neighbour, Norwegians lose it completely. Suddenly your Norwegian neighbour clicks violently. Because Norwegians are the people where most people have been in a nasty and long-lasting conflict with their neighbour. But the conflicts can also be hilarious, completely crazy, over the top and exciting to follow. As long as it's not about your neighbour.
In this sarcastic video, the Yourway2Norway team examines the dark, passive-aggressive side of a culture that is unable to express its feelings, lacks social competence and feels its existence threatened by, yes, precisely its neighbour.
Ronald and Mads are located in an idyllic and spring-like Oslo. In one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods to live in. There they go through 5 of Norway's most famous neighbourhood quarrels, while also explaining why it happens. This is a typical self-deprecating Yourway2Norway story that aims to educate everyone about Norway behind the facade, while also giving you a good laugh. Enjoy the ride!
Music: epidemic sound.

Well, here's my take on it. According to Dr. Daniel Amen, marijuana SPECT scans of the brain causes the brain to form holes in your brain. It ages the brain very fast, so there is that. If you have a medical need you probably should have it, but ultimately it is horrible for your brain. BUT, it is utterly ridiculous to arrest someone for smoking doobies. It costs a fortune to house someone in jail, and then the person has a criminal record afterwards. So, it's best to avoid it..."just say no," but it should be an individual's choice. No one should be arrested for it.

I find it all so fascinating that cod liver oil...tran, is a natural supplement. According to Dr. Eric Berg, cod liver oil is one of the most potent forms of fish oil, and an incredible source of vitamin D. I can imagine for a seafaring country, one of the ancient Norwegians realized that it was just the thing to take for good health (reference vitamin D). Especially in a country that has less sun exposure for part of the year (less able to produce vitamin D). Just be sure to only take the recommended amount... don't want to take too much. The kids were cute, and watching you play with fish guts was funny!

Weird illegal stuff in Switzerland 1) is it is illegal to have only one guinea pig or one ferret as a pet. You must have two. If one dies you must buy or rent another. Plus if you own a ferret the government can make surprise visits to your home to check that you are taking good care of them.

I only started thinking about Sami heritage when the photo exhibit started showing up in my feed. There were a few people there that reminded me of relatives. I am looking into my DNA now and have common ancestors in the Northern end of Norway and even some in Lithuania. My family heritage at this stage has a feeling of being “whitewashed” at this stage because of all the defensive family members, but I continue my research without asking them. I can relate to the rebelious/nonconformist Norwegian POV! Much love from sunny San Francisco!❤✌️🧿🌈

My grandpa came to the US from Norway when he was in his twenties, and my family still has very strong ties to Norwegian traditions and culture. Unfortunately the Sami people aren't something that gets talked about or represented at all, either with my family or in the US education system. A video essay about Frozen and Frozen 2 led me on a path of discovery and I am very grateful for this video giving me the opportunity to learn and grow. You've presented what you want to say in an entertaining and easily digestable way, and it has inspired me to want to learn more. Thank you for sharing your story ❤

He did not mean literally they spit on beggars ! Just a figure of speech. They just do not like them. No one in Europe likes them. Beggars in most of Europe are a part of organized crime and they are treating begging as their job. They dress in rags and beg and then in the end of the day they get picked up by a luxury car. They collect social benefits and their goal is to do that in the most developed countries in Europe like Norway. They live better than most people who work. And they become very nasty if you do not give them money. They usually exploit children, dress them in rags or keep them half dressed in cold and beg for money. They fake injuries or being disabled. They are mosty gypsies or from Romania. Beggars in Europe are not individual people who beg for themselves but organized gangs of criminals.

Hei, I love your show. It explains a lot about my family. My Grandparents were from Oslo and immigrated to the states. I always thought my Grandmother had a very cold personality, they were Luthran and not emotional. As a little girl I was actually afraid of her. Now watching your episodes, I realize this is part of the Norwegian culture and I understand my Norwegian family much better. Tusen Takk!

I'm Ojibwe/Chippewa native American from my paternal grandmother's side, but my paternal grandfather's side is Norwegian American (I don't know any of my history on my maternal side) and I've always wondered if I have any Sami as well since I've heard that our fully Norwegian relatives all live in the north. It's heartbreaking enough that I don't know much about my native american ancestry because my grandmother didn't like to talk about it, and I was raised to be much more strongly proud of and knowledgeable about my Norwegian roots than my native american ones, so it would be quite ironic if it turned out I had any Sami ancestry as well on that side. One day I'll get around to having a dna test or something to see... I'm not very close to any of my family as an adult so it's much harder to find out that way.
